Books I recommend:

This is a great book for both beginning and seasoned designers. It holds a special place on my desk at home with the rest of my frequently used reference books.
This book is both visually and intellectually stimulating. Check out my full book review for more details. [ book review ]
We read this book for our annual retreat at MAYA Design. I’ve never been much for historical non-fiction, but this was a fascinating look at the psychological and social influences and impacts of leading and making decisions.
Pure retreat into nerd bliss. This was a fun book to read. If there is any nerd in you at all, you should pick it up and give it a read.
This is a wonderful little book filled with pithy statements and observations about the world and the practice of being creative.
I’m a sucker for any book with semiotics in the title. I’m always looking to see how other explain semiotics to the uninitiated. This book is another great example of a book that is good for both the beginner and the seasoned researcher.
Here we go again with the semiotics. This was a good read, but parts of it can be skimmed or skipped altogether.
I’ve been looking for new resources about explaining ideas visually, and this one is great. Its well written and well thought out. I’m sure I will be going back to this one regularly. Its in my reference stack.
